Now, we all know what lifestyle actually means but surprisingly many of us doesn’t know about its significance in maintaining good health. First lets us see some statistical reports,

  • ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) published a report that, deaths due to lifestyle diseases, or NCDs (Non-communicable Diseases) has increased from 37.09% to 61.8% in 1990 to 2016, in India.
  • As per WHO (World Health Organization), 41 million people around the world, lose their lives every year due to NCDs. Of which 15 million people are of age between 30 to 69 years.

These reports show how deadly lifestyle diseases could be. Now you might be thinking of “What are lifestyle diseases?” The diseases that are results of leading unhealthy lifestyles like, eating unhealthy foods, staying awake at late night, consumption of alcohol, smoking etc. Let’s see what disease are they:

  • Diabetes.

  • Infertility and so on.

After looking at this you might have understood that unhealthy or bad lifestyle is the root cause of most of the chronic diseases that might lead to loss of life. So, if you want to stay away from all those deadly diseases and maintain a good health for a long time. You must focus on your lifestyle, correct it before it turns into a serious problem. But before that, we will have to learn about this a little more.

what is meant by healthy lifestyle ?

It is the way of living, keeping in mind some small steps to follow, that helps to promote physical, mental and social well-being. It also reduces the risk of getting affected by chronic diseases and dying early. A healthy lifestyle includes following a balanced diet, having sound sleep for adequate time, performing some physical exercises and adequate fluid (water) intake.

As I have already discussed about the above components in details in my previous blogs, I don’t want make u feel bored by repeating the same things again and again.

As conclusion I would say that majority of those critical health problems can be easily prevented by following some basic things and doing them a little differently. “Prevention is better then cure”, we have often heard this and which is actually correct. Because, if we lose our health once then its much difficult to get it back but trying to prevent them with some small efforts is much easier and safe. So, be responsible, maintain a better lifestyle and stay healthy. That’s enough for now, I will get back soon with some more informative contents.
